10% of our undesignated tithes and offerings goes to the BGCT-Baptist General Convention of Texas (65% of the 10%), and SBC-Southern Baptist Convention (35% of the 10%) in fulfilling the Great Commission
2% of our undesignated tithes and offerings goes to the Concho Valley Baptist Association in support of the Associations' Missions/Projects.
3/4% of our undesignated tithes and offerings goes to the Jail Ministry. Our Pastor has also been called upon many times to baptize inmates of our County Jail. This ministry makes a difference. In addition to the 3/4% above, the Baptist Men make a quarterly donation to this ministry from their monthly offering.
A monthly donation is given to the Salvation Army in support of their mission. We are referring requests from the community for assistance with food to them.
A monthly donation is given to Rust Street Ministries in support of their mission. We are referring requests from the community for assistance with food to them as well as other needed items such as clothes and furniture.
A monthly donation is given to Christians in Action in support of their mission. This donation helps them provide funds to those in need for food, rent, and other basic needs.
A monthly donation is sent to the IBJM for the Gerard Dumoulin Ministry. Gerard is church planting in New York in primarily Jewish neighborhoods and business areas and working to bring the Messiah to those he and his wife come in contact with.
A monthly donation is sent to the North American Mission Board for Jen Saunders who leads the BSM at Townson University in Baltimore, MD, and also at John Hopkins.
A monthly donation is sent to the BSM at ASU to help fund their needs. We also respond to other requests as they come to us.
Place your used or broken eyeglasses, lens, glasses cases in the box provided in the Sanctuary Foyer. These are used by doctors in Mexico to provide needed care to those who would have to do without otherwise.
Place your used Sunday School literature and Bibles in the Blue Box in the Fellowship Hall. These books are sent to the Love Packages Ministry to be shipped to areas overseas, especially English Speaking countries in Africa. They also get surplus literature from Lifeway, Billy Graham, Charles Stanley, 700 Club, etc. Some items are sent to the Texas Port Ministry in Freeport.
Turn your 'Box Tops for Education" in to the Church Office or to Anne. These will be given to Belaire School to use to obtain wanted and needed items. |
